Aspen Reporting Framework™
Easy access to the operational intelligence that drives
improved performance of the petroleum supply chain
Consistent, timely and easily accessible performance data is the
foundation for decision-making that maximizes petroleum supply
chain profitability. Many companies lack such visibility due to
disparate systems and fragmented business processes. Aspen
Reporting Framework bridges this gap by seamlessly aggregating
and contextualizing refinery manufacturing and supply chain data
from both AspenTech and third party solutions, providing global
visibility into refinery performance.
Features
- Preconfigured with Refinery KPIs: Standard
KPIs designed around the needs of today’s refinery are
included as well as the ability to configure custom KPIs as needed.
Pre-built KPI categories include Plan Performance, Schedule
Performance, Inventory Performance, Inventory Days of Supply and
Inventory Turns.
- Leverages standard technologies: Operational
intelligence cubes can be visualized through most of today’s
modern reporting tools, leveraging existing investments in
reporting and portal technology. Most visualization tools that are
compatible with Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services can be used
including Microsoft SharePoint, Oracle Business Intelligence Suite
Enterprise Edition, SAP Business Objects and IBM Cognos.
- Out of the box AspenTech application
integration: Aspen Reporting Framework accepts
data from version 7.1 and later of the following AspenTech
products:
- Additional data sources such as historians, quality systems and
pricing systems can be integrated via custom adapters built using a
standard Software Development Kit (SDK).
Benefits
- Enables faster, more profitable operational
decisions: Broader and easier access to operational
information across the organization enables quicker detection and
resolution of operational issues. The increased confidence in data
accuracy allows for faster and more informed business decisions,
leading to greater profitability.
- Increased transparency at all levels of the
organization: Measurement of performance across functions
for greater transparency as to where problems are occurring
improves the collaboration between departments and leads to much
faster resolution of operational issues.
- Uncover inefficiencies: With automatic
aggregation and contextualization of information, business analysts
can spend less time collecting data and more time analyzing ways to
make business more efficient. By comparing data from multiple
departments in a standardized format, it is easier to find ways to
optimize operations.
- Integrate data and business processes once and only
once: Unlike traditional reporting tools where the effort
to consolidate, cleanse and normalize data is separate from the
technology that integrates business processes, AspenTech delivers a
common integration framework that delivers integration for both
areas via aspenONE Integration Foundation. This reduces
implementation time and cost because it is pre-integrated. In
addition, its flexible and configurable environment reduces
maintenance costs as environments change over time.
